Liam Callaway was originally schooled in South Africa and is the son of a cabinet maker, Ronald Callaway, who ran a successful cabinet making business in Durban from 1980 to 2012.

At 19 years old, Liam immigrated to London. He spent a few years at Weldon learning how to lay high-end hardwood flooring, and acquiring valuable traditional timber finishing skills while working in some of the finest crafted houses in the UK. Liam found his surroundings inspiring and this influence continues to show through in his work today. 

In 2005, Liam founded a London based business, Callaway Bespoke, that specialised in cabinetry and general carpentry works. After establishing a reputation for quality and reliability, Callaway Bespoke was commissioned to undertake the complete internal renovations of various Victorian homes throughout London.

Liam now lives in the Perth Hills with his wife and young family, where he started Built In WA in 2012. Liam is very hands on in the business, taking the time to concentrate on each project, and managing the design and installation process.

We pride ourselves on our keen eye for detail, our precision craftsmanship and our friendly and communicative approach from start to finish.

Along with Built In WA, the Callaways run a guest house in the hills.
